Who Are We & How Did We Get Here?
WESC is staffed by an international team of educators, scientists, students from Egyptian Universities, and local journeymen, tradesmen, agricultural, and industrial workers. Wadi Foods was established by the Freiji and Nasrallah families in 1982 and today Lynn and Tony Freiji and their three children live near the WESC demonstration grounds.
The WESC Board of Directors includes Lynn Freiji, Wadi CEO Tony Freiji, Wadi CEO Ramzi Nasrallah, UCLA Urban Planning Ph.D. candidate Taha Rassam Culhane, wildlife biologist Sheryl Ducummon, Egyptian education specialist Inas Hegazy, and grant and development consultant Peter Llewellyn.
